SYNOPSIS
Synopsis
Based on true stories that shocked, touched, and inflamed Singaporeans, Such Sweet Sorrow grabs Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet and squeezes out the essence of intense relationships and turns romance on its head, in a blender. A ritual killer, a distressed construction worker, a blindly loyal wife, conjoined twins who want to live as individuals, along with unnerving new reincarnations of the Friar, the Nurse and the Prince, they will bring you on a journey of EXTREME LOVE, exposing the artificiality and destruction of ROMANCE. This shocking and stunning new remix will bring you to the very core of the ultra contemporary R & J via a most disturbing and at times hilarious deconstruction of this ancient tale.
